The tale of two visits... The first time we went we had an awesome time, ate at the bar, loved 4 of the 5 dishes. Don 't order the croquetas, underwhelming. Two days later we went on a Sunday at 9pm (website says OPEN till 10pm), walked in and they told us they were slow so they closed. Sooooo, call first? Who closes in NYC because it 's slow . Stay true to what you say and we 'd have come back. Instead we had awesom... View all feedback.
What Brett Creange doesn't like about Amada NYC:
Went to Amada for lunch and ordered their lunch special chorizo white bean soup and the serranito sandwich with fries. The soup was very good, with an even balance of ingredients, but the chorizo was cut a little bit large. The sandwich was delicious although the egg felt a bit out of place at times. Fries were delicious and the aioli went well with both items. Overall, would go again but probably stick to ordering o... View all feedback.
This was my first time eating at Amada. I’d heard good things about it from the food being great to the gin n tonic drinks being the best in the area. Amada certainly did not disappoint and I’ll be sure to return to test the gin n tonics. We dined for lunch with a party of 7. There were several areas that would accommodate us comfortably. The atmosphere was really nice with an inviting open concept dining room with views of the kitchen. Everyone pretty much ordered something different and everything looked amazing. They offer a nice lunch special which our party would recommend. I personally went for a tapas style lunch and ordered 3 small plates: Potatas Bravas, Cauliflower, and an Avocado Quinoa Bowl. It was the perfect amount of food. Each of them were great but the Cauliflower was my favorite. Highly recommended for business meals. I’m looking forward to returning for dinner.
Ordered drinks and the appetizers at the same time Here comes one tapa out of the 9 we ordered The tapas started coming like droplets and the paella we ordered over an hour before ends up taking 1 hour and 20 minutes.... it was just good food with bad service

We went friends went out for a get together lunch and tried out the chefs choice menu. The food was coming good but all of a sudden the waiter mentioned to our shock that was the last plate. We were taken back as we were not served of our dessert as well at that point. And when we questioned the server he mentioned he will check with the chef and said he was gracious enough to offer us a dessert apart the small plates of food that was offered to us. At the end your stomach should be happy n content with the food. One of our friend who has very little appetite usually compared to us was also left hungry. Now for the food it tasted good displayed perfectly and the servers didn’t know about few dishes of what they were serving. Overall it was disappointing for the price we paid. You spend 200$ for good food which makes you and your tummy happy. Both didn’t happen here.
For a Friday evening during happy hour ish time, it was oddly empty (both at the bar and tables)... so got seated quickly and of course, were seated directly next to another couple, even though so many other empty tables! Regardless, we ordered white sangria and it was super sweet, not as alcoholicy as we like it, but decent! Onto the food, 3x crab filled peppers which were really not as fishy as expected, but definitely was great choice... 4x small lamb meatballs were perfect and sauce on side made it taste even better... 4x sliced short rib and bacon flatbread was quite flavourful and steaming hot and really delicious, horsheradish gave it a nice kick... parmeasen artichokes were very cheesy, my girlfriend loved them... and garlic shrimp, which were standard and with garlicy butter! After all of that, we got churros and YUMMMMMM it comes with thick hot chocolate dip and omg, they were crispy and doughy and sugary and just oh, so good!! In the end, the price was much lower than expected (which makes it all better) especially with 5x tapas dishes, dessert, and carafe of sangria!!!!
