they were really good before the COVID-19. I guess they change the menu. I come here a lot during 2018-2019. that was my favorite restaurant. then I moved to approx. I was just here to visit my friends and we're back here and it's changing. View all feedback.

Great if you want to try a lot of Japanese foods, but terrible if you want qualitatiw high quality food and service. my party of 3 arrived at 19:00 clock and was occupied at 18:00 clock. there was no question of slow service, there were 8 people before us still 5 people who put their names down and arrived after we first took place, even two parties from 7 when we finally got on the spot, we were amazed how cheap things were and how wide the sorts were so that we got 11 dishes. all were extremely bland- chawanmushi tasted only of egg and really nothing else, torikawa (skin) had a stale styrofoam texture and was not aromatic, the kaarage and yakitori lacked salt, and the saba teishoku (drilled makrele) did not taste like makrele at all. it felt like all dishes could be improved ten times with some salt, shoyu or a marinade. the okonomiyaki, azazuke, hot butter and everything else we ordered were in order. we loved the fried garlic and the cotton candy experience at the end was cool, but different from that, we left ourselves unsatisfied. 2/5.

I'm here recently with my family. I've been here many times since the beginning of 2000 when it opened. it is still there and eating is still bad, but the price is unbeatable. beer is $1.50 there's no food over $10. It's good for college kids to get drunk. I love the atmosphere and its decoration.
This place is so good. Foods are delicious and prices are affordable. One of the best prices value Japanese restaurants in NYC.
