Contribute FeedbackThe Consulate on the Upper West Side offers a charming ambiance and consistently excellent food at reasonable prices. Despite some mixed reviews on portion sizes and service, the overall experience seems to be positive. Diners have praised the delicious dishes, cocktails, and desserts, with highlights including short rib cavatelli, duck, skate, and chocolate lava cake. The restaurant's interior exudes a European vibe, making guests feel like they have been transported overseas. Although some have noted small portion sizes and slow service, the overall consensus appears to be that The Consulate is a hidden gem worth visiting for a special dining experience.
Short rib cavatelli was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The Rising Sun cocktail and the Cesar salad were also outstanding. Great service to top off a wonderful experience.
Nice restaurant with a very attentive staff. Food was pricey however, great.
The restaurant was sooo loud, couldn’t hear the person sitting across the table from me. Food was good, although pricey. Entrees are $35+. May try sitting outside next time.
Great would go back. Food was amazing. Service excellent. A bit loud with music but overall positive experience
Delightful meal- beautiful room- elegant ambiance- perfect lighting- attentive service- delicious.
