Contribute FeedbackThe Olive Tree Cafe in New York offers a mix of experiences, from disappointing Buffalo wings to a flavorful Walnut pesto pasta, but with a cool vibe and a comedy club downstairs. The staff, such as server Jess, goes above and beyond to create a memorable experience. Live music performances and classic films add to the ambiance, while Middle Eastern platters and tasty Mac and Cheese keep diners happy. Prices are reasonable, and the overall experience is delightful for those looking to enjoy good food and entertainment in Greenwich Village.
You would expect Buffalo wings in New York to taste good, or at least decent. But their wings were disappointing at best, and I've had better anywhere else. You would also expect plates at a restaurant, but they didn't give us those either. The Walnut pesto pasta tasted good, but the pesto seemed missing. They may have come up with their own version of it. But the vibe was nice and they have a cool comedy club downstairs.
Used to be a great place but feel like it has gone down. The crowd was sparse for a Thursday night especially on Halloween weekend. Didn’t stay for long.
Fantastic place to meet with friends. The tables are chalkboards!
Very tasty Middle Eastern platter with large portions. It was just what I needed in NYC after two days of mostly sandwiches. A side order of lamb skewer was very reasonably priced. Overall, pricing is very reasonable and I would definitely return to this Village spot. Staff was friendly in person and over the phone. Fun to see old reels of Charlie Chaplin. Obviously, if you’re into laughs, the comedy club is below and around the corner is the Minetta theater.
Been going here for over 30 years. My absolute favorite spot in the whole city. Chalkboard tables, delicious food, and Charlie Chaplin movies on a loop. I hope it never changes. (I do miss when they would cook the food right by the entrance.
