Mecca Mussels and Seafood, located beside the River Tyne in Newcastle, has been named the top seafood restaurant in the city by dining reviews. Having been open for just five years, this restaurant offers a taste of Belgium with dishes such as mussels with different sauces, grilled fish dishes, bouillabaisse, fish broth, and options for vegetarians. The lunch menu starts at around £6.50 with a first and second course, and on Sundays it costs £10 in the afternoon. They also have a great selection of Belgian beers including Jupiler, De Koninck, Leffe, Duvel, and Kwak. For those who dine before 7pm, there is a special offer of a kilo of mussels for £7.
