Contribute FeedbackNestled in Newcastle, this restaurant offers an authentic Cantonese experience, particularly with its popular dishes like the aubergine hot pot and crispy aromatic duck. However, it struggles with cleanliness and decor, which feel outdated and uninviting. High prices for below-par service contribute to a disappointing dining experience, as some loyal patrons note a decline in food quality and menu authenticity. Families may find the atmosphere unwelcoming, particularly for younger children. While the food has potential and local Chinese families frequent the establishment, improvements in hygiene and service are essential for it to compete more effectively in the city’s vibrant dining scene.
An absolute jewel of a place in newcastle. I was so often here that I lost the graphics now and I recommended this place to many of my friends in ncl. I love their Chinese cuisine and the ambiente is so peaceful and amazing. all Chinese food lovers please visit this place for the love to eat
Happiness inn 91a percy st, newcastle upon tyne ne1 7RW, Great Britain (near the haymarket metro) a friend from hongkong has brought me to his favorite restaurant. after him some of the "dim sum" dishes were better here than those served in hongkong. 1.Cheong fun wrapped around fried crispy teig that was the winning court for me. the cheong fun is made there and then by the chefs, and cheong fun dishes are only available up to 4 o'clock. a bowl soy sauce is present. simply pour it over the cheong fun, and relish the soft outer with the crispy interieur. 2.Salted egg bun the determining test of this plate is the molten yellow salted egg which precipitates after a bite. that's exactly what happened. 3.Beef hor fun. that was a very satisfying meal. I'm sure I'll be back soon.
Went for dim sum at lunchtime and it was perfect, the best dim sum we've had in Newcastle. Also got a two roast Ho fun and salted rib congee which was super tasty. Will definitely return again!
Went for the special meal . 3 courses all beautifully served. Fab quality food. This is a great restaurant and the fact Chinese families go there is definitely a sign of value and quality. We will be going back .
Beautiful authentic dimming. we can see how the chef makes the cheung fun. large portions and friendly staff. we had a great lunch!
