Classic old school hotdog shack vibe, order at the counter and wait for your name to be called. Food was good. If you eat in, expect to smell like fried foods when you leave. View all feedback.
What Todd Ford doesn't like about Doogie's:
I know they don’t serv. Black people. Walk in to get something to eat. The counter lady turn her back on me. Never took my order. And walk away from counter with her back toward me. Never look my way or ask can I you. Nothing. Just walk away from me. So I know they don’t Serv Blacks. That’s my take of that hole in the wall. View all feedback.
The food was great and the young man that took it order was very patient with us. The food came out quickly and hot.
If you want good service, nostalgic feel, and great food. And from all the items. I mean seafood, dogs, fries, rings, you name it ?
One of the last great places to get a vintage hot dog and fries.
Been coming here for about 20 years. Still enjoy it as much.
Classic Connecticut Hot Dog Seafood Spot! Came in with my family 5 and from the moment we walked in we where greeted and ordered our food the young man at the register walked us thru the specials. We ended up with four plain dogs, fried mac and cheese, two cheese burgers, and a captain platter. Let me tell you everything was hot, fresh and really hit the spot.
