What Dashawn Runolfsdottir doesn't like about Pastizzi Cafe:
In a few words, great food but bad service. Waited for half an hour to even get served or asked of we'd like something to drink, and the table next to us which came in 20 minutes later was served by the same waiter before getting to us. No apology. No cutlery on one side of our table when our meals arrived. Also screams volumes if you can't be bothered to ask someone how their meal was when they are paying, rather th... Pastries were cold, service is rude and terrible! bruschetta is old and soggy. Bread not toasted do not recommend
Pretty decent food. The Pastizzi's make this place a bit different from the run of the mill Italian place. The staff were really busy and did their best to fit us in unlike some of the places on King St. I thought the seafood marinara pasta was quite good. Plenty of seafood and no filler..its only a mile or two from the seafood market. Sydney is more of a seafood town than a meat town
The food here is excellent! Good portions and quality ingredients. We had Pastizi to start while we waited for our main course. The pastizis are large and filling on their own. The owner Lenny, has great imagination with the ingredients that go into his pastizis. He has a wide variety of fillings to choose from not just the traditional ricotta or pea filling. For the main course I had the homemade ricotta gnocchi and my friend had fettuccine with pancetta and mushrooms. I highly recommend Patizzi Cafe for your next lunch or dinner while in Sydney.
The Funny thing is that I like there pasta more than there name sake! Lol It's a small place but almost always full I can see why! The various pastizzi is like a challenge where you want to try them all! I've had also there ravioli and I'm a big eater but I was totally full after having there main size! It's also open til late,if you haven't been or want to try something different I highly recommend this place
Have never eaten in here. Have always bought the frozen packs for the freezer as an option for those times one has nothing else. However, whenever I do pass by, I would get some fresh ones. Mainly apple pastizzi's. Ricotta is a favourite. Chicken mushroom come close. Just love the crunchiness of the pastry. Have recently discovered their cinnamon scrolls on offer. Need to go back and dine in one day.
