We enjoyed supper at this restaurant along with two of my young children and found the staff to be exceptionally skilled, pleasant, friendly, accommodating. The quality and freshness of food was excellent, authentic, served with careful detail making it taste as good as it looked. The waitress smiled each time and offered refills on the seasonal veggies and kimchi. The prices were reasonable for the type of cuisine,... View all feedback.
What Nathen Jaskolski doesn't like about A Young Korean Restaurant:
The food was gross and expensive. Ordered different teriyakis and they where all disgusting and didn't even taste like teriyaki. There was a rib dish that was the only thing that was really good but cost 40cad for the one small dish that my 7 year old ate. The soup/broth that they gave us was questionable and nobody could stomach to finish. Not what I was hoping for since the place smelled so good. The service sucked... View all feedback.
We enjoy trying different cultures when we dine out. This place may not be the best Korean food we've had, but it was a refreshing change from the usual around town. Great variety, good food. The restaurant was clean, and the service was better than...More
We had been here twice in the past. The food and service was great. Sad to say they changed owner and cook. The cook is proud I was told. Doesn t like when waitress critique his food. He put iceberg lettuce inside my bibimbap. It should have been nappa cabbage. It supposed to come in hot stone pot mine wasn t even warm. It has lost it s flavour and we paid for table d hote and wasnt given each one our side dish and soup that was part of the price. I had to argue to get them. Manager not that attentive. Never were offered a discounted meal. I told the waitress to tell the cook that his meal stunk and is disgusting. Will never be back. 18.00 dollars for a beef bibimbap with next to no beef . My nephew was visiting from quebec and had been there too before when the owner was not as cheap as this one. Usually korean are very hospitable. Not there. And the chef dont care what comes out of the kitchen. He cant cook korean. Don t waste your time, energy and your money.
This is not too bad place to get a Korean food plus they offer free parking. It takes a while to prepare but in general their food is so so.
We arrived amidst bus loads of tourists but was quickly seated. We ordered a bibimbop, a chapche, and a seafood pancake. For the price charged, we hoped the food would satisfy. It did. We liked the great side dishes, the portion, and the authenticity. We found the waitress pleasant and attentive enough to get our side dishes refilled and a container for takeaway. With all the Korean tourists surrounding us, it felt like back to Korea all at once. If dining without our toddler, we would try the bbq...well, maybe next time.
It would have been 5 stars if we would have been seated faster and didn't have to ask for the bill. There were 2-3 people who took care of us. The food was amazing. I didn't want to stop eating even after I was full!!! Tried sake for the first time. It tasted kinda like watered down gin to me. If in the area again, will be back.
