Orzo Restaurant - Niagara On The Lake

Clearly this restaurant serves cheap frozen food with no flavor & zero imagination. Our server was named Maddi, who was nice but didn't make conversation. Basically she only said, "How were those first few bites", which was sooo annoying after the 2nd time. The wine was poured very messily and clearly the servers were not trained properly on how to hold plates. The one thing that did make our experience worthwhile though was the older lady who was hosting and clearing tables. She was very personable and cared a lot about the customers.

Nice place with good service and food. I had fish and chips and my wife had the Reuben and both were great! Fries are excellent.

We went to Niagara on the lake with the family, we go every year and we love it there. We have never eaten there before because we usually end up driving to Niagara Falls for lunch. This year we decided to stay for lunch and went to Orzo. It was absolutely amazing. I got hamburger with fries and the other got hamburger wit a salad. We all loved what we ordered. Simple and tasty. I can't wait to go back to eat here. This will now be my go to place when we are there.

My wife and I were visiting Niagara Falls, Canada and friends suggested we visit this town. It is a charming town though somewhat touristy. e ate here for lunch. It is right in the heart of the tourist area and very comfortable. I had a hamburger and my wife had a gyro. both were average with my hamburger having been slightly overcooked. We both had French fries which were also somewhat dry. Our server was very good, attentive without being a pest. The food was reasonably priced at least by the prices in the other establishments in the area.

Orzo is a simple restaurant, centering to a diverse national and international tourist trade, that is superb. While the menu centers on a number of pasta dishes, Orzo produces credible lunch salads and a selection of wraps in addition to their pasta specialties. Whoever walks in can eat well given their dietary tastes. Not many restaurants can make that claim.My wife and I shared an arugula salad and gyro sandwich with French fries. The salad was simple, nothing fancy with a bit of citrus and fruit. But, the salad was dressed perfectly. Simply pleasing. The gyro is plentiful, but the lamb does not rate among the world's best for seasoning. Yet, the wrap did not overwhelm the taste that was present and the tzatziki sauce blended the tastes present into a delightful experience. The French fries, usually fillers on most menus, were excellent. No special flavoring, no heaving sauce, no overload of salt. They rate among the best -- ever! My daughter and son-in-law could not abstain from snatching a copious amount. The bill was reasonable for a tourist community, and the lunch impressed me as value for the quality of food and service. An open to the restaurant with street side tables gives an "open air" experience. Service was friendly and adequate if not a bit stressed because of the number of tables per server.I've eaten at several of the upscale restaurants in Niagara-by-the-Lake and not been as impressed as with Orzo. Sometimes simple is simply superb.
