In the Old Town, this restaurant runs like a well-oiled machine! Small, cosy, and noisy. Ideal for lunch. The food is well-cooked and very tasty. I agree with a previous reviewer that you should book rather than hoping for the best. Definitely worth a visit! View all feedback.
What taylor t doesn't like about Bistrot d'Antoine:
We called to make reservations and were told they don’t accept them. When we arrived we were told that they didn’t have availability despite there being at least 4 tables free. As we were walking away a party of four asked for a table, and was seated. My husband asked why they got seated and we did not. The person was rude and said there are only two of you, and I would rather serve a party of four. I would understan... View all feedback.
This place is what Niçoise French food is all about! Fresh fish, tartar and so on. Great deserts too! The waiters don't fuss over you but they are not rude. I come for the food! Highly recommended!
This restaurant was absolutely outstanding! We went here today for lunch and was probably the best meal we have had in the south of France.Food was amazing I had the octopus risotto which was delicious and my partner had the chicken, both really decent servingsRidiculously well priced, both dishes and 2 beverages each cost us less than 50 euro! Also the best coffee I have had in Europe in three weeks (espresso) You must go here, you will not be disappointed It is small so advise to book ahead or get there as soon as they open at 12 to snag a table before it gets busy
Unless you are a local avoid. Its a pretentious little restaurant and they only put on. the smiles for the locals and regulars. We got rude servis=ce , no menu of=r offer od=f a drink , just a point to the blackboard menu and "any questions". I could forgive all of this if the food was amassing .... Its not. Good but not outstanding and the steak was terrible. Guys lives to short to waste a whole night being treated like a second d class citizen because your not a regular. So many other options in the areas just go somewhere friendly and get a nice table , a welcome and enjoy.the old town. leave this rude little restaurant to themselves.
It was our best meal in Nice. Great place, awesome casual atmosphere and authentic and simple food. Just 3-4 simple ingredients but full of flavour and very complex. We took testing menu and from starter to the dessert we were amaze by light squid, dory fish with cabbage, amazing duck with carrot and ginger and peach mousse with ice cream. Well done!
We ate here last night, food was fantastic. We started with risotto et boudi to share, black pudding soft and tasty as was the risotto and rocket, a delicious combination.I had cocotte de cocho, pigs cheeks cooked long and slow, soft tasty and fell apart with a fork, done in a delicious sauce. My wife had the duck, cooked to perfection, accompanied with a lovely fruit sauce. To finish we had a panna cotta and tiramisu, both delicious.A lovely meal from start to finish.
