Hamburger with the lot the good old Australian way which I think they have listed as a Nobby Burger, can't beat an Australian classic like this. My Son had the Rudd Burger which is the steak in place of the meat patty. The woman that served us was very personable, thank you. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Nobby General Store:
Great place to stop for a quick bite for lunch, as we did on our way back home after a great week in Central Queensland. It so nice that "General Stores" like this still exist, so we should support them when we travel through these small country towns. View all feedback.
Great breakfast at a reasonable price. Very accommodating staff who would basically make what you want for breakfast. Large portions and great taste.
Saw a hot coffee inside. Hamburger was great and delicious. Fuel and Lpg swaps and go bottles available. Camping area above the road
We were heading to the Darling Downs Zoo at Pilton and stopped at Nobby to check out a local market at the hall but we were too late as it closed at 12pm. Decided to look for a place for a coffee or tea...and discovered the general store. They had a sit down area and tables on the footpath. We ordered some burgers which were delicious. The patty was clearly homemade and it was a generous serve. They even had gluten free bread and made a burger for me. The hot chips were hot crisp and delicious. They served Merlo coffee and tea made with leaves. It was well beyond our expectations on a Saturday afternoon and on a par with anything in the city. The nearby Rudd pub was pumping with about 30 bikes outside, there was an art gallery open and a craft store open. The town pays homage to Sister Kenny with a memorial and small museum but it wasn't open. This tiny little country town was punching above it's weight and really deserves a stop if you are in the neighbourhood.
The food, coffee, and staff at this restaurant are fantastic! I am particularly fond of the new menu items that are now available.
This small shop is great, Big Bike Tours has selected it as the meeting point for their rides on the 2nd Thursday of each month.
