Ile de France - Nominingue

When the Chef is also the owner, you can never go wrong. Passionate about quality food and it shows. Loved our meals while staying at the Auberge. So well done!!

Had a fantastic dinner here. The owners/chef are great folks and very hospitable. This is a small casual restaurant with a nice terrace, which is where we ate. Great hummus and bread started our dinner. The eggplant parmigiana is the best I have ever had. My wife had the pork tenderloin and thoroughly enjoyed it. Only wish this restaurant was closer to home. I very highly recommend this restaurant. Was great to meet Heiko and Nancy

The Ile de France was recommended to us by our hosts at a motel in nearby Lac-Sagay. The detour off the main highway is certainly worth the trip. Living in Montreal we are spoiled when it comes to good restaurants. The Ile de France in remote Nominingue is definitely on equal footing with most of them. Have the six course menu, you won't be disappointed. Heiko is a terrific Chef and Nancy a fabulous host.

We stayed at the L'ile de France and we had a fantastic experience. We arrived late the first night and were hungry. Even if the kitchen was closed technically, Heiko, the chef, kindly prepared us some outstanding tapas (freshest salad ever, brie feuilletes, escargots, crab cakes, shrimp cocktail and an out of this world shrimp bisque. It hit the spot and was absolutely delicious. The room was comfortable and clean with a cool decor. A gem of a place. We will be back.Thank you so much Heiko and Nancy for making our stay such a pleasant and satisfying experience.

I highly recommend this inn as a restaurant as we as a B&B. We stayed here while biking on Le Petit Train du Nord and had great meals and a very comfortable room. Nancy and Heiko have a great place!
