La Perouse Restaurant - NORFOLK ISLAND

So thought I'd try the onsite restaurant for dinner, unfortunately it was not as I'd expected, Scotch fillet, medium rare is what I ordered, came out pretty much well done, not really sure how you can cook a 1 am steak to medium rare, and they weren't either. Breakfast was good though and catering for function during the day was ok.

The restaurant was a bit quiet the night we went, but the service was excellent and the food was great.

My wife and I sampled many restaurants during our stay, and concluded that La Perouse was only just beaten by Mariah's for quality of food. La Peruse had great food and flavours. My NZ sirloin just melted in the mouth.

We arrived at Norfolk Island on Saturday afternoon looking for a good Restaurant to have Dinner. Our Host at Fantasy Island recommended La Perouse Restaurant for good food and Service. Well we were not disappointed, the Service was friendly and efficient and the food delicious, especially the very tender Steak.

Don't let the bland hotel decor put you off, the food here was delicious as we walked in without a reservation.The only thing that would have made this evening more pleasant would have been if we were able to enjoy our meal on the little deck area on a lovely March evening.Desserts were a standout,and yet again very pleasant waiting staff members, Thankyou.
