I was so pleasantly surprised by River Crab. It was difficult to find fine dining in the area so I was skeptical. The food was completely on point (the burrata was beautiful, the steaks perfectly cooked and the shrimp cocktail was perfect). The service was amazing. Friendly, well timed and attentive without being cloying. The view was pretty and it's entertaining watching the variety of boats go by. I highly recommen... View all feedback.

Mennie who purchased Richlee and in the process of rebranding to Mennies is a very outgoing and colourful hostess. While entreating you like you were her only guest the food and wine are very good. Have dined there in the past but it was some time ago and Mennie remember us (as did the original owner Manual who just happen to be in the building) and made us feel right "at home". veal chop is very good and all portions very filling. Wish Mennie well with her new brand but definitely return and recommend you trying it out also.
Mennies is the former Richlee's. It has good food and amazing service. The menu is varied and the staff is great at accomodating whatever you like. They will even make something off the menu if you want. The owner is gracious and friendly and the atmosphere is fabolous. Prices are reasonable and this is a find for a local place in North Toronto.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our experiences at Richlee due to the excellent food, wonderful service, and welcoming atmosphere. The prices are reasonable considering the high quality of the food. The new management is top-notch and truly exceeds expectations. Both my husband and I highly recommend this restaurant.
This was me and my sister's first visit to the Richlee Restaurant. We had just spent some time in a local fine food store and were in the mood for a glass of wine and a fine Italian meal. The entrance to the restaurant does not give the "street appeal" that would suggest such a gracious owner inside and excellent food and wine. It so needs to have some beautiful greenery and white lights to create a welcoming "come in and have a great meal." Once inside, the restaurant has well dressed tables and low lights that suggest a calm and relaxing atmosphere. We started our dinner with the caprese salad which was nicely plated and had just the right amount of balsamic vinegar to complement the boccaccini cheese and tomatoes. For entrees, I had the ravioli and meat sauce which was just the right al dente consistency. The homemade sauce was amazing and reminded me of the authentic meat sauces that Italian Nonas make that simmer all day on the stove. My sister had the gnocchi which was tender and dressed in a light gargonzo and brie sauce. Amazing! Mennie Manangan is the owner and gracious hostess and entertained us with her knowledge of the business and her wines. She is very proud of her wines and we sampled a wonderful unoaked chardonnay and a chianti! It was a very pleasant evening and my sister and I left feeling like we had made a new friend. We would certainly love to come back when we visit Toronto again.
We were a group of four. Asked for a lychee martini, was great! The food was average, we exchanged 2 dishes. However, the customer service provided by Mannie the owner was very good, they did not charge us for those dishes and the desert and final lemoncello were provided as a courtesy. We might come back only to give a second chance to such a charming owner.
