Staying in the Garfield and ate at the Bar Grill several times. The menu is not massive, but the food is of excellent quality and I think I can safely say everything I ate was to my tastes. Apologies to the lady I just beat to the last helping of mussels! Staff are good as long as it doesnt get too busy, when service becomes a bit patchy. Soup (tasty but on the cool side) and sandwiches (generous and fresh, generous triple decker with sumptuous ham) were provided by pleasant, prompt server. Had an amazing meal here during a lunch visit. scallop with black pudding is delicious and the grilled steak salad is an excellent dish. I have my dining room partner chicken dish than and it was fantastic. great service by staff and I would recommend the garfield. house hotel for a large selection of services and services.
I was a night on a business trip and used the restaurant this evening. the menu was extensive and I had the garlic mushrooms for beginners and the singapur huh for the main course. both classes arrived immediately, served by very friendly servers. and tasted excellent. the next morning I had the Scottish breakfast that was just as good.
We have booked my father in law 80. birthday dinners in restaurant and cannot blame it. the restaurant manager conor was very helpful in planning this, eating was superb and the waitress sarah, lisa, carol and charlotte were very attentive and helped...make the day a memorable.

Spent 2 nights here food excellent good choice for breakfast didn’t have lunch so unable to comment but it looked good evening meal was delicious I had the lasagne yummy
