Great, not too packed, food was hear quite fast. I got the steak with shrimp and crab meat and bearnaise sauce, it was perfect. 5/5 the server's are great. Was a bit expensive though. View all feedback.
What Andrea Wood doesn't like about Sea Merchants:
Went for early mother's day dinner , immediately upon arrival it felt as if we were a bother to the server, who was very unprofessional. Didn't greet the table, no introduction, didn't talk about specials. The mushroom app was delicious, altho she took it away from the table before we were finished, also she left the table with an unfinished glass of wine.. although I didn't like my entree , they did offer to make so... Best kept secret in NMB for all to see on Highway 17!! Excellent food and service! We’re locals, and we eat here (not the crowded chain restaurants!
A treasure hidden in plain sight. Although the decor is a bit dated, the atmosphere is comfy and inviting. We shared oysters rockefeller. The oysters were large and perfectly done. Plenty of spinach and delicious hollandaise. My husband had the seafood pasta that came loaded with big shrimp, large scallops, and a mound of fresh crab. I had the Parmesan grouper that hit all the right spots with tender fresh fish and a crusty Parmesan cheese top. Salads were fresh and included a variety of veg. Rolls were warm and tasty. The meal also came with fresh crisp green beans and rice pilaf, which was loaded with flavor. Nice accessible wine list. Our server was welcoming and attentive. We will definitely be back.
They had some of the best crab cakes I’ve ever tasted!! Also, the blackened chicken was delicious! The employees are great! We will definitely be back at our next visit!
Five of us went to Sea Merchants for dinner tonight (which was a Wednesday night). One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time! Had drinks at beginning (with ice cold glasses). Had oysters for appetizers. Excellent. 3 of us ordered filet mignon. And other 2 had blacked tuna. Meal had side salad, delicious hot fresh bread and butter. Entree had choice of potato and sautéed green beans. Very reasonably priced and excellent quality!!! Service was great. And don’t forget to get a chocolate mint before you leave. Will definitely come back. One of best places to eat at North Myrtle Beach!!!!
Went to Hoskins and the line was too long so we decide to try this place and we're very pleasantly surprised. They were not busy at all which is surprising considering how great the food was. Cozy old school seafood restaraunt of yore decor with subdued lighting was a nice way to enjoy meal. I had blackened grouper and it was fantastic. I'll be back for sure.
