A friend of mine has been going here for years and rated the food on a high scale. I was craving butter chicken so went for a feed. I can’t fault their food what so ever. It was full off flavour and I didn’t walk...away feeling gross of full. I had the butter chicken with a lil bit of basmati and some butter naan bread with spinach leaves fried in chickpea flour which is gluten free. It was all so yummy. The restraun... View all feedback.
What Damon Balistreri dislikes about Abhi's:
I found customer service appalling ,parking was difficult and menu was limited especially for vegetarian meals I also found prices were high compared to other good Indian restaurants with better location we would not visit this place any time soon View all feedback.
A group of 5 of us went for Dinner last night ( Sunday ) and ordered the Banquet option number 2. The amount of food for us was way more than I had anticipated although, downing 2 bottles of red between us did fill us up a little too prematurely. We ended up taking home a doggy bag with a good portion of each of the mains that we couldn't finish. Work lunch sorted. The entree's were delightful, especially the Chatpata squid and the Hariyali lamb chops. The mains were GOA fish curry, Patiala Goat curry, Chicken Makhni, Beef ambotik and Ennai Kathrikai. My favourite was the spicy Beef and the Goat curry was as always, so flavoursome. We always enjoy opt for selecting banquet options when introducing new comers to a restaurant that we like, and given the amount of food, the prompt and happy service and the lovely setting, I think for roughly $50pp, it's a pretty good deal for a one off, special occasion. My fiancé and I have been here 5 times now, and can honestly say we have NEVER had a bad experience. This is a fabulous restaurant. The décor is classy with a sophisticated Indian theme, nice soft background Indian music makes for an enjoyable ambience. The wait staff are very helpful and efficient and incredibly polite. The food is packed with authentic flavours and are delicious. You will find Butter Chicken and Vindaloo on the menu but they are called something else. Ask the waiter for assistance. The baby egg plant is delicious too. The Tandoori platter to die for! Also got adventurous and tried the Indian desserts. Quite different but tasty! Would highly recommend this restaurant and if you dine there you are in for a treat.
Really enjoyed our dinner here last week. Tasty food. Good service. Neat and clean. We were upstairs and it was a little noisy but not unmanageable. Stairs to the upper level quite steep. Would go again if visiting this area.
We have tried a few Indian Restaurant around the Inner West and been disappointed. Abhi's is fantastic and we have now ordered a few more times since our initial try. It's a little more expensive than others but it's totally worth the price. My children love it as well which is a bonus as they usually don't like Indian. So happy to have found a local restaurant that is service such wonderful food. Try it you won't be disappointed.
My husband and I LOVE this restaurant. It is always packed (so recommend booking) and the staff are friendly and efficient. I have travelled to India so I know authentic flavours when I taste them, the dishes all burst with flavour, it's easy to overeat much because it truly is so delicious. I also like that it's BYO as I struggle to find a wine of my desire in many restaurants. I highly recommend this restaurant!
