I visited Cafe Rouge with my daughter and two grandchildren before heading to the pantomime. We were pleased with the variety of food options available and appreciated the healthy choices on the children's menu. What OpenTable Diner doesn't like about Cafe Rouge Norwich Chapelfield:
Starters took ages. We ended up late for the theatre even though we had allowed 1 3/4 hours for our meal. My friends bread starter didn't even have any dipping oil and her salad was awful, just a load of lettuce with a sprinkle of lentils. As always, very nice eating, excellent service and was not rushed.
I just dived for a café au lait and a piece of red velvety cake (which I had two years ago), but it seemed that they had nothing of it. at the end I left myself for a latte and a piece of teer au citron, both really nice. my only complaining is that the price is a little steep for what they are. the waitress was really nice to help me in the choice and the atmosphere was just as big, with smooth songs that stroke our ears.
For lunch with a voucher. the polite eating was very nice. it was not made to feel, to go.
Really poor eating, tasteless. had not our booking. the restaurant was half empty. never go there again.
Not too busy beautiful atmosphere service was good and eating very good value
