They messed up with my order but made up for it afterwards with free chips and extra chicken wings and a drink, plus a lovely handwritten note from Lily. Thanks. View all feedback.
What Mark S doesn't like about Free Season:
Minutes after our order was accepted I got a call from a rather rude woman telling me that some of the items I ordered they do not do. It shouldn't have been on the menu then, pretty simple. What's more the food that did arrive was not as described. I ordered a special fried rice but it could hardly be called that. What I got was fried rice with prawns and spam! Need I say more. Wouldn't recommend. View all feedback.
I went there before and it was impressive with good service, so I booked to return with some close friends this week. It turned out to be really disappointing. The experience was very negative. Aside from the good sound effects in the room, everything else, from food options to drinks, things couldn't get worse. The worst part was that the service was unbearably terrible, the men working the night shift just couldn't be more boring. They made every excuse not to provide any service, but chat at the reception. We could choose to leave but it's too late to find another place and it was very uncomfortable. They open at 8:30 PM. I wouldn't go again! And I do not recommend this place unless one just wants to sing and doesn't care about anything else.
We visited a couple of times, once for a bachelorette party and once more recently with a mixed group of friends. The host is welcoming but there are some inconveniences - food service stops very early, so it's worth checking ahead before you go if you expect to eat. Constant issues with the microphone, the drinks are subpar, and it's difficult to find the right selection of songs. One staff member randomly turned up the volume on the TV without explanation, making it so loud we couldn't even hear ourselves sing. Good if you have 15 pounds to waste, but don't expect a glamorous night out here.
Best karaoke set-up in Notts. Impressive decor, a fun selection of English songs, and plenty of dried flowers, reeds, etc. in the rooms to use as props for the songs (although I recommend bringing some outfit accessories from home to really get into the spirit). Karaoke, green tea, drunk friends. Does life get any better?
Tried booking the super VIP room for my daughter's 18th birthday but was let down by the extremely disorganised and unprofessional owner. I pooped into the venue on so many occasions to try and sort out details for the party but each and every time the manager was never there and always promised to call but never did. When finally I got hold of her she tell us the price had gone up £200 more then what was originally quoted. Would not recommend this place at all especially if it's for a special occasion. Complete waste of time and a huge let down.
