It will be an annual event for us and this year was better than previous years. Service was friendly and fast and the fillet steak on hot stone was excellent. Rounded with a glass or two decent red wine and we were very happy. Restaurant itself is centrally located and a gasoline head sky. Many memories and the possibility to write a “I was here” message on the wall! View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Pistenklause:
Eating was good, but then cook it yourself so it can't be bad. The attitude of the staff is shocking! Just push us out of the way to get glasses, talk to us as if we were something the dog did! It used to be the place to go, but not anymore, unless their attitude seriously improves View all feedback.
Food was ok and the service was ok. It's more of a tourist place/attraction since it's Sabine Schmidt's family's hotel and restaurant place. I'd go to...
The Schmitz family restaurant. You're probably here for the Nürburgring. You kind of have to. Waitstaff was attentive, but the Audi WEC team was also...

Don’t bother. Each time I come here the owner (with the slick back hair) walks past you without even a hello for atleast 15 minutes before you have to essentially run around the place trying to find him to ask for a seat (no issue if you’re German, only British, yet during COVID when there were no tourists they couldn’t have been happier for British money). Once you’ve done a marathon of the place to beg for a table you have to wait 20 minute for a drink order, where they just grunt at you, because service with a smile in pistenklaus isn’t allowed. Foods ok but expensive, which I wouldn’t mind if the service wasn’t SO bad.
