Beverly's Pancake House - Oklahoma City

We come to Beverly's all the time but today July 4, 2017 was a nightmare!!! It wasn't that busy but the service was absolutely terrible!!!  It looked like they had enough wait staff and the cook was doing what he could.  Our waitress did not even come to get our drink order for at least 10 minutes at which time she did take the whole order.  During the wait time I was observing what was taking place throughout the restaurant.  One was talking loud about another waitress to help her.  The cook was ring, ring, ring, rinking his bell.  Our waitress yelled at him not the bang the bell she was taking an order.  We usually don't have to ask for refills on our coffee.  We only got one refill in the 45 minutes we were there.  One lade finally kept raising her hand for service.  Another couple next to us ask for something and our waitress told them she didn't care she was about to go home!! We all looked at each other and that lady customer thew up her hands in disbelief!!! We did get a good meal when it came though thanks to the chef.  The hostess was dressed as if she were going to a backyard cookout!!! We were stressed after leaving!!! I do not want this restaurant to get a bad review or reputation like this.  We have never had this experience and I hope you will truly take it to heart.  Our waitress' name was Jeana Farley (that was the name on our ticket) We rarely not leave a tip but today we did not feel it was warranted.  Please know we will go back but I hope I will never experience this again.  Thank you, Kathy Hood

Place is much better than most diners and taste fresh made. I have had both pancakes and waffles and both were one of my favs in town for what it is. I don't eat at ihops, dennys, or Jimmys egg types of places. I had previously been told it was comparable to one I just listed. I completely disagree. It has the environment similar to one, but quality of service and food much better.

No faults for Bev's, even when they expanded. This place was like a parent to me when worked for Integris Med. They were they were there morning, noon, night...and midnight, back then. Sometimes I needed breakfast fit for a king, while other times -I simply needed a cup of coffee. Thanks, Bev!

It's an OKC tradition and for good reason. Solid good old-time favorites, done well, with good service. I was never disappointed when I started going here back when it was on the corner of Penn. I am still not disappointed. Location may change. Quality hasn't declined a bit in at least a half century.
