Antalya - Oldenburg

Whenever being in Oldenburg I try to visit this place. Be it the warm welcome from the very friendly staff, the very cosy but also upmarket interior or the amazing food. It never let me down. They recently improved the menue and next to "old" recipes, some new dishes can be found. Also they refurbished the place earlier this year which puts a bonus to it. The food surpises with high quality being served with the "extra mile" by very friendly staff and some innovative ideas in cooking and serving. In the summertime they open a "Biergarten" which makes it even a better place. There is no dish which can not be recommended, however the "Antalya Salad" has it's friends. There is also a special drink which you can order as a digestive, it's highly flammable and will be lit at the table.

I have been living in Oldenburg for about 15 years and this is by far the nicest I know. Let's start off with the disadvatages of the place: 1.) it is really a good bit outside of the city centre2.) the interior design is debatable to say the least.But this place is great because:1.) I have not found a service as friendly and proffessional anywhere else in the world (no 3 star Michelin Restaurant, no nothing)2.) the food is really excellent if you do like meat (if you don't you're in the wrong place)Try the Iskender Kebab, the Lamb in all different variations, the normal Kebab, the Sigara Boerek as starters together with the perfect turkish bread and some excellent Tsatsiki (better than any greek I ever tried). The free side salad is also very nice for some special spice mix they use on it. For five people I would recommend 4 main dishes and the starters, the quantity matches the quality of their food. Please don't order wine there. Go for one of the excellent beers they offer.I still go there whenever I am in Oldenburg and have not been dissapointed once.

Super service and super delicious! Even gluten-free foods and special requests are not a problem, so even celiacs are sick!
