Our Flames Restaurant - Olds

I don't usually write reviews, but I just had to take a moment to praise the Lobster Mac and Cheese at this restaurant. I ordered it for dinner on Friday night, and I honestly have to say that it was the best Mac and cheese I have ever had. I can't emphasize enough how fantastic it was. Unlike most restaurant Mac and cheese dishes, this one wasn't oily or bland at all. I highly recommend that everyone give it a try - you won't be let down!

We have not been to this restaurant for a few years and it was great to see they have renovated the place! It looks great and a lot more private with the center partial wall in place. It appears the entire place received a thorough change!This place is center for family to come from Calgary area as we are located north of Red Deer. We made reservations but that did not seem necessary but in our reservation we did get asked if we wanted a window seat and that was a big yes!The four of us enjoyed our food a lot as it was tasty and flavorful. I especially enjoyed our dry ribs and they had a rosemary spice added.I ordered the boneless pork chops and they we well done! The veges were a bit under cooked and went cold quite quickly so eat them first! :)My stuffed potato probably had been sitting around for a while since the crust was very hard. My wife loves that so she ate some of it!Very friendly staff on the phone for the reservations and our server was great! Makes for a pleasant experience.I feel the cost of our meal was on the high end for what we received, but we will come back again as it is a nice option in Olds as a number of other restaurants are either chains or on the lower end of the scale.

Overpriced menu for the quality of the food. Hamburger bun dry and crumbly, hamburger steak was small portion, tasteless, with cold French fries.

We booked the small private dining room last Monday evening (May 15th) for a special birthday celebration for my Mom. Our Mom has celiac disease so we sourced a special birthday cake for her from a bakery in Calgary. The Flames had no problem with us bringing the cake into the restaurant and graciously offered candles, serving plates, etc. Everything about the food, service, ambiance and experience was excellent. We would like to especially thank Seth, our server for the evening who was super attentive without being intrusive and very professional. There were seven in our party and each ordered something different from the menu and everyone was very pleased with their food and beverage offering. Of course, the famous house salad dressing is always a favorite with our family! Thanks Our Flames team for a memorable evening. We also love the decor.
