We had a lovely dinner at De Babbelaar. The staff was friendly and relaxed. The KFC (korean fried cauliflower) we ordered for starters was delicious. After I ordered a salad with goat cheese, beetroot hummus and papadam it was super tasty! My boyfriend ordered the burger with fries. He liked the meal. Round steak was not tasty the first one I got was dry and through baking, ordered medium-rare. The second was full of tendons. Having to pull several tendons out of the steak. The potato puree that came with the steak was cold. Understand that the local people no longer visit this restaurant. The restaurant consists of a “cafeteria” and a restaurant. You can sit outside and it's very comfortable, but it's a bit noisy when there are a lot of cars driving past. We went to the restaurant, where the food is more upscale. You can feel this at the end when you pay. The food was tasty but nothing special. What I found to be a shame was that the sauces/dips were served in plastic bowls. The service was on point and there immediately when you needed something. As we were leaving we saw that there was different food in the “cafeteria”. Especially pizza, burgers, etc. Vegetarian options: There are individually selected vegetarian dishes.
