Overall, it was very good, but quite pricey for what you get. While the average cost across the country is around $26, here it was $42. On top of that, I added a $10 tip. View all feedback.
The food is excellent, especially the large pancakes. However, there was a bit too much butter in the grits, which I actually needed for my pancakes. I found it frustrating that there wasn’t a way to communicate specific instructions, as I would have liked to request no salt or butter. Thankfully, they didn’t add any salt. I also wanted to ask for sugar-free syrup but had trouble finding a way to do so. I accidentally switched my order from delivery to pick-up on the DoorDash app and couldn’t change it back, which was inconvenient since it’s quite far from my place. I hope the Dashers receive better tips, or it might be better to dine in next time.
I had a pretty good breakfast with generous portion sizes—one meal could easily feed two people. The Dixie Slam comes with a hefty serving, but I found the second flapjack a bit undercooked. Still, I smothered it in syrup and enjoyed it anyway. I wasn't a fan of the house potatoes, but I plan to try the hash browns next time. The bacon (three slices) was perfectly cooked, as were the scrambled eggs. I think I'll try the French toast on my next visit for a change. Overall, I would definitely order from Dixie Belle again.
The food is fantastic and the portions are generous. You absolutely have to try the Sweet Potato Biscuits!
I had the Country Platter with a side of Home Fries and 1 Blueberry Pancake everything was delicious.
The Chicken and Waffle is THE BEST!!! And you must always get home fries which are also THE BEST!!! 10/10!!!
