Eggstyle Breakfast & Lunch - Ottawa

Stopped in for breakfast with my wife- waitress was very slow getting to our table as she was dealing with a problem with someone's meal (should have taken the hint and left.) Ordered eggs bennidict and a glass of water. Meal came (no water.) Plate and meal were cold - told waitress and she said she'd get a new one (again asked for my water.) Plate comes back (no water) - it's now hot but it was my same meal just reheated (my knife cut was still in the egg. Spoke to waitress again and she said that she had told them to make a new one (did she not look at plate to see that a bite was taken out of the egg ?). Oh and my water ? New meal comes with water - its hot but egg is undercooked-white is still translucent and the sauce tastes like plaste . Waitress is now off taking someone else's meal back - that's three in 20 minutes. I eat 1/4 of the egg and eat the home fries and fruit and leave the rest . Waitress brings bill and drops it on table and leaves - not knowing who to pay I go to the counter with my bill and the woman there looks at me with a very bewildered look . I say I want to pay the bill and she is still confused- waitress says something to her and she grabs machine and we complete transaction. In spite of poor service I still gave her a normal tip (maybe she just was having a bad day ?). Would I go back ? NO ! Would I recommend it ? NO !

We went to this place early on Friday. It was not busy and the food was great. My husband loved his veggie omelette and I had great over easy eggs. The homefries were standard fare but were served crispy and piping hot. They were very good. Nice friendly service, too. We would go back without hesitation. My only comment is the place needs an update. It is very worn and used looking. But that isn't reflected in the cooking or service.

We have been going to this place every Saturday for the past two years! I always eat the same thing they have a fruit lovers crepe which is the size of the plate! It is stuffed with fresh blueberries, strawberries, bananas, melons and you can get put either custard or chocolate drizzle on it! Hubby orders either, an omelette, clubhouse sandwich. They also have a kids menu as well. They have smoothies, coffee, tea. Prices are reasonable and you get a large amount of food!

Just found this place and I'm glad!From the basic egg fare to other fancier things and lunch makes this a great restaurant.Though the menu says 2 large eggs - I feel that there is more when compared to other restaurants I've visited.Plenty of food be careful when ordering extras as you may find you now have too much food to finish!Highly recommended.

Decided on this restaurant before going to see the Sens play. I had the smoke meat sandwich which was only a Monday to Friday special but the waitress made a special request to the Chef. Everyone else had eggs with home fries and bacon. The amount of food was plentiful. Service was very good and refilling your coffee or water and restaurant is your standard breakfast/lunch style. They also have lots of choices of specialty juices and smoothies. Thought it was pricey for breakfast compared to other restaurants that serve breakfast but I guess its not McD's
