Mia's Indian Cuisine - Ottawa

1) Atmosphere: no air conditioning or open windows! It was so, so hotRealized afterward there were 2 small tables outside.

I had lunch here today with a friend of mine and we both agreed that it was delicious.

The picture is of an offering on their Lunch menu, a Tandoori Wrap and a cup of hearty Mulligatawny soup for $8.99 is one of the best meal values in town.

Terrible customer service. They forgot my order, and then ultimately did nothing to address the complaint.First, I ordered around 6:30 online (received a confirmation email) and waited over an hour for my food. I then decided to call and check in, since it was getting to be 15min past the time I was advised my food would arrive. Then, I was told the order was never placed. Annoyed, I placed my order again over the phone and was told I would get it asap in approx 30mins. I asked if I would be compensated for the lost order and delay, where I was informed she would talk to the manager.When my food finally arrived after another HOUR (receiving my food at 8:44pm), the delivery person charged me full price as he was apparently unaware of the situation. He then said he would talk to the manager when he got back to the restaurant, but I have not been contacted about any sort of compensation.I followed up by e-mailing the restaurant, which was never acknowledged.Additionally, the quality of food was not nearly as good as I remembered it to be. Everything was extremely oily and rather flavorless. I will not be ordering from them again.

We have always loved the food from Mia's. It was a lucky find when we were in the neighbourhood coming back from a friend's place.The food is flavourful, portion sizes are a good size, and when we have gone to the restaurant (pre-pandemic) it's been clean and family comfortable. The past few years we mainly order take-out and packaging and portions are still great.
