This place was worth the trip just to see the decor! What a fun spot, large outside patio which was nice on a hot summer night. It was busy outside but not so much inside so we were a bit surprised at the slow service. The food however was great and our whole party loved all they ordered. Sometimes you get slow service but the food and ambiance are well worth giving it a second try. View all feedback.

This is an ok place. Service, location and ambience are excellent. Craft taps are plentiful but pretty generic. Food is reasonably priced, but the portions are child sized. Gorgonzola pasta was tasty but terribly small. Pizza was OK, but the crust was like a frozen pizza - not OK. We will try again in the fall, but this is not somewhere that I would visit weekly. Don't go hungry!!! becaue you will leave hungry. (I we... View all feedback.
The restaurant and the service were fine, but the food wasn 't. It reminded me of when an ethnic restaurant like say Indian) makes their dishes less authentic in order to please the Canadian palate better. What they called bruschetta was served on pizza crust and not on the crunchy bread that provides the different texture. So the appetizer was like a little plate full of tiny slices of pizza. The pesto spaghetti was the worst of it though. It was creamy pesto watered down with milk) and the dish also had all sorts of things like mushrooms and slices of peppers and the like added to it. The result was that it didn 't taste like pesto pasta. It tasted like spaghetti in a creamy sauce with no discernible flavour. If you have good pesto, you don 't need much if anything piled on the pasta.Prices were high, too. That for two people) and one glass of wine came to about $95 before tip.
This is a very unique place to go. It screams goddy and creepy. There are decorations EVERYWHERE! Most is religious, some is vintage signs and some beer related decor like Germany. Outdoors was more welcoming inside was very dark and loud. They do have an extensive beer list they call the “beer bible”. It’s very impressive, I purchased the banana bread beer and it was very good. I dropped down the score to 3 stars due to two things. First the waitress was super aggressive she came back every two minutes asking if we knew what we wanted to drink yet. The drink list is so large that we needed more than 3 minutes to read it over in the dark. She was very mad when we didn’t know what we wanted right away. The second reason was the food. We got pizza and pasta and they both tasted like a frozen pizza and frozen dinner pasta. The quality just wasn’t there. For a drinking spot this place is good but everything else it’s subpar.
This place has a very good draft list, and an extensive canned beer list. Both cover local craft and imported classics. The pizza is good. And the decor makes you feel like you are in church, except with beer and less guilt.
The world needs more places like this unchained gemstone. Two words- BEER BIBLE.This place is AWESOME! Amazing atmosphere, amazing decor, super creative and fun, eye catching, and spectacular. Loved the covered patio area, felt like a real European Establishment (see video .We went with a fam of 4- one baby and one 4 yr old and sat outside. Had a high BBChair, but no plastic cups or kids menu (we didn’t care . Server was MIA several times but not enough to lower from 5 stars because of all the other awesomeness. Food was tasty (but if it was fresh Pasta it would be out of this world! . Meatballs were dope. Pesto pasta was bomb. (Those are both meaning “exceptionally good” .Loved it and will definitely return next time we visit the Capital.Kid-friendliness: Yes- high chairs, kid friendly types of foods (spaghetti and meatballs, pesto pasta, bread , atmosphere (bright, fun, colorful No- kids menu, kids/plastic cupsUnsure- change table (my kid didn’t need it this time
Love the atmosphere here! Great selection of beer, including a decent number of alcohol free options. The food menu is straightforward and our order didn't disappoint. Parking situation was easy for a Saturday afternoon (free parking at the back).
