Rockin Johnny's Diner - Ottawa

Food was good, waffle was amazing which counts for a lot because a good waffle is not easy to do. They had lots of options which was nice but I did find that waitress fairly rude at first while we were waiting for our table. She yelled from the back of the restaurant "HELLO, HELLO YOUR TABLE IS OVER HERE" without having ever came to the front of the restaurant to let us know. I found it embarrassing and rude of her to do that but after that the service changed and she was much more polite (and no we did not say anything to her about her rudeness at first) so I am attributing it to a bad day. Later on we watched a fellow rip her off so we made up for it, if that is the type of regular patrons they have then I understand why she may have had a bit of an attitude. All in all I am happy we gave this place a chance and stuck around because the food was worth it.

Just got into Ottawa for business. Our hotel was close to this restaurant so we stopped in. 50's diner decore and a great good food selection. We were greeted and seated right away. The food came quick and was tasty. If you in the area ,it's worth a stop.

Whenever we're in town overnight, we always stop at Rockin' Johnny's for breakfast. Fast, polite service. Good Food.

At first a little hesitant as it was kind of empty - realize it was a storm outside and was only 5 PM. Sat down and service was causal which was the type of establishment as it was meant to be. Kind of like the items on menu and ask the server for a suggestion. Want with suggestion of the hot hamburger and mash – nice basic comfort food. Mash was nice but somehow a little bland – just didn’t nice natural enough to be homemade – more rather a mix between homemade and some instant ? Balance of meal was what it was. The décor was very nostalgic and made the whole experience enjoyable. Compliments to Rose that made the whole experience very enjoyable.

This is a great place to eat. Service is superb. Staff are more than friendly, and the food is well priced.
