The 2 stars go solely for the decor and service - I ordered dishes that have a very little chance of getting screwed up - hot n sour soup, deep fried
I've only used this restaurant many times for take out, however I assume the quality of eat in matches the quality of take out. The take out menu can be found and browsed through on the internet. It's a small quiet restaurant, with a friendly owner and staff.Aside from the usual offerings of Canadian Chinese food, they have a varied menu including hot and spicy Szechwan dishes plus a number of interesting noodle and Chef's Special dishes such as "Pat Chun Bean Curd"-fried bean curd with shrimps, chicken, BBQ pork, and mixed vegetables for $9:50 (we had the many times-always good), Cantonese Chow Won Ton-sliced shrimps,BBQ pork with mixed vegetables, and deep fried meat won tons $9:50.They also offer 16 combination plates.I've found the food to consistently be of good portions, good quality, an at reasonable prices. Wait time for your take out order (if no one ahead) is quick.
The food is fresh, affordable, and delivered on time. This is a take out. Not sure they have eat-in.
Excellent quality Canadian Chinese Food. This unique and time classic restaurant has always fine and fresh food. Cozy dine in atmosphere and great take out service. Been eating their food for over 25 years and always receive good food, fresh and friendly service. Priced right for any one or family. The busiest little Chinese Food restaurant I ever have seen and loved by all the locals in the area and out of town guests visiting. We highly recommend Tai Ping for good quality, fresh and competitively priced dishes. Go check them out, you will be happy. Cheers...
