What Lori Willms doesn't like about The Newfoundland Pub:
Lunchtime on a Friday, mostly empty. I asked for a ham and cheese sandwich, got kraft cheese slice on a slice of processed ham, on toast. A companion said the clam chowder was thin. The fries were good. Waitress friendly but obviously apologetic. This place used to be much better, the fish and chips used to be outstanding, at least for Ottawa, but mediocre now, too bad. Can I give this place 6 stars? Jason was friendly, helpful, even let us bring in outside food cause the kitchen was closed. And when I tried to leave and my car didn't start...he (and the patrons) tried their best to help. Talk about Newfoundland hospitality!
This is a pub, with pub food. It hasn't been updated probably since the 90s. It's an ok place. The food is ok. The prices are a little higher than I expected for a pub. The service (especially on Saturday is excellent and the server is friendly and she remembers your drink order, even after one visit.
Great little place. Fish fingers were fantastic, and the service was great!
We were a group of 38 who met at this restaurant to have supper together and for the entertainment. We were pleasantly surprised with The Newfoundland Pub. There was a varied menu and the food tasted home made. Everyone was happy with the food, service and entertainment. q
Put in an order for takeout. Got my food and almost 15 mins later the lady who took my order still hadn 't given me my bill and by now my food was cold. This was noot the first time this has happened. The bartenders and more concerned serving the regulars and doing shots with them then paying attention to other patrons in the restaurant.
