The food was excellent, I had a monkfish special which was really nice. My wife had a gluten free pizza which was excellent when compared to some gluten free options in Italian restaurants The staff were extremely attentive and were always ensuring that we weren't waiting for anything. What C M doesn't like about Cardosis:
Cardosi's food is usually great but on our last visit (Wed 9th August) it was well below par. The lentil soup tasted like powdered soup and the Arrabiata was under-seasoned. Service was good. Perhaps the chef was having an off day. As someone who has been to Cardosi's many times over the years I wouldn't abandon it over one meal. I hope the next visit has the food back up to its usual standard. View all feedback.
We popped in without a booking on a Sunday night after a long drive and were met with such fantastic service. Our waiter Blair was soo friendly, made some great recommendations and made us laugh a lot! The frito misto was a great starter, huge fresh bits of fresh and a delicious garlic and parsley sauce. We also ordered the asparagus with pancetta which was so nicely done with another great sauce. The fresh pasta dishes were phenomenal! Between our table we ordered the slow cooked beef and tuscan sausage ragu which had so much tender meat and a delicious rich sauce, the rigatoni sinatra (crumbled italian sausages with loads of roasted peppers and chilli in a tomato sauce) and the fettuccine pollo piccante which was my favourite. This was spicy chicken in a creamy parmesan sauce with a right kick of chilli! For a complete accidental find we had such a great meal and would definitely come back if we were travelling down to Glasgow from the Highlands again!
Had a fantastic meal here at the end of my trip, we skipped lunch and ordered every course, drink and dessert we wanted (went all out) and still ended up spending little! Delicious food from start to finish, couldn't get enough of the lemonade!
Nice early evening meal. Went to old favourite in Paisley. Given early evening menu which is set price for 2/3 course. Food arrives quickly, is hot, seasoned correctly and as described. Meats cooked perfectly, generous portions although salad undressed. Drinks are varied and wine menu has nice classical Italian varieties. House wines (by glass) are really good and priced well. Staff friendly and patient with kids. Surroundings well presented and clean and peak in open kitchen showed a very clean and organised area. Will be back as always
Fantastic restaurant. Delicious, freshly cooked food at an exceptionally reasonable price. Food and service were excellent will definitely be back!
First visit, will be start of many. Delicious food, freshly served and at really value for money prices. Staff lovely. Drinks reasonably priced too. Could not find one fault. They are closing for a refurbishment for 1 week, cannot wait to go back, well done everyone.
