We felt like Indian for dinner and decided to try this place. The staff were very friendly, our food arrived much quicker than expected and tasted even better. We had a simple meal, garlic naan bread With mains of butter chicken and chicken tikka. Both mains were beautifully flavored, lots of sauce and tender meat. The masala tea was also very nice.- they had a high chair for our baby too, and allowed her to draw on the... What User doesn't like about Maharaja's Restaurant:
Nice waiter, atmosphere was lacking a little bit, we asked for the curry REALLLLY SPICY but it failed to deliver. Mixed entrees were nice, but the brown thing was so dry we could hardly cut it or chew it. Certainly not authentic nahn bread - was more like a paper thin wrap brushed with butter and garlic which was wierd. Lamb curry was ok (asked for it medium spicy but it wasn't at all). My husband asked for his vinda... View all feedback.
Delicious, really good Indian food. Highly recommend. No idea why so few urban spooners have voted as it was busy when we where there but give it a go, as good as any Indian anywhere else I've tried in Melbourne or elsewhere
Really yummy food!! As Indian is one of our favs we make sure we try to find good Indian food in every town/city we visit around Australia. (We visit a lot of places as we tour 6 months of the year This is up with the best we have had even considering all the cap cities! Well done :
We strolled by and were enticed by the delicious smells coming from the kitchen, so we decided to have dinner at this restaurant. We were pleased with our decision, as the menu had many great options and our meals were both delicious. We were very satisfied with our choice to stay for dinner.
Good food. Relaxed casual service. Had a nice meal here for the two of us. The atmosphere is typically Queensland. Totally unpretentious and a nice experience all round. We shared a nice vegetable curry some nan, pakoras and a lamb kebab. All very nice and served in good time. Perfect for a visit on a holiday. Would happily visit again next time I'm staying in Palm Cove.
Being an Indian, I was looking for an Indian restaurant on my last day at Palm Cove. Found this place with absolutely AMAZING FOOD. We ordered Parathas which were so soft and were made fresh. As we were a big group, the staff that took our order was a bit confused. But even though the staff service is a little slow, they were very sweet and polite all the way to the end. Soft spoken bunch of staff. My dad loved the Parathas so much that he personally went to the kitchen to appreciate the chef for his food. Really good Indian food in Palm Cove.
