that is a popular restaurant in saint germain des pres. the personal is excellent and accommodating. that was always delicious, in which we had eaten four times there. what does that say? would recommend to everyone to visit paris. the prices are very reasonable. I had a fish dish twice and a steak court twice. do not miss this place. the wee is also very good, and the waiters keep their glass filled. View all feedback.
What Maryse Charrier doesn't like about Au Pied de Fouet:
Last night we ate here from 19h00 - 21h00, when we were rudely kicked out. I have never experienced such rudeness in a restaurant in France. We were told they needed the table and we had to go even though we weren't done visiting with our friends we hadn't seen in 10+ years. I would not recommend, the food is not good enough and the service was terrible. In the future, if you have to make a 2nd seating, notify client... View all feedback.

In the future, if you have to make a 2nd seating, notify clients in advance (when they arrive) so we can decide whether we want to eat dinner in your restaurant or not. Had I known we would be required to leave, I would have never requested a table.
The staff was friendly, but maybe because i arrived early when there was no one else in the restaurant. I had the duck confit and mash and it was tasty and the skin was crisp. U find the meat a bit dry and could do with some sauce. I saw other pictures where the duck was served with some kind of berry sauce, so I'm not sure whether you had to ask for it or not. Anyway the prices were very reasonable. I would go back to try the other dishes.
Enjoyable meal of duck and mash, the upside down apple pie was delicious, They Serve lavatzza coffee, with long life milk (i will never get used to long life milk though!) why is it in france they dont serve fresh milk?
