Based on the other reviews on Trip Advisor, we stopped here for breakfast, and I agree...this is an excellent spot for petit dejeuner! An older woman waited on us and spoke French almost exclusively, which was nice--I didn't feel as though we were just pegged as tourists and encouraged to speak English. View all feedback.
What haktus doesn't like about La Duchesse Anne:
We dropped in per accident and enjoyed our small cafe-style lunch here. On the terrasse we got a good service and food was fine. I rate average as there are many of these cafes in Paris and as well in this area. Compared to these others there is little differentiation. View all feedback.
It's for me one of the best crêperies in the area, I always go back with pleasure although the proximity to other customers is sometimes a little embarrassing. I recommend!
Amidst all the noise and confusion of Montparnasse it was the December off-season so I sat on the terasse for my lunch and did not find it annoyingly noisy or even cold. I just let the folks inside know i was sitting on the terasse so they could come take my order. Delicious salmon with creme fraiche crepe -- much better than in any other crepe place i have ordered, followed by a dessert crepe of almonds. A glass of white and a cafe and it was the perfect main meal of my day, about 20 euros. Will return. Best if you speak some French -- the service will be friendlier.
Badly indicated prices, because if you eat on site it is much more expensive and not written! And when you ask, you feel like we're so unpleasant to welcome that we've preferred to leave!
Unpleasant reception, a supplement to plan (not indicated) to be able to sit., not at all merchants and pets, answers very bad to the customers! We fled this place!!
We stayed nearby and this became our go to place for breakfast every morning. The staff was pleasant and the food was good.
