This Cafe-Restaurant is a really charming place in heart of Paris. We had our coffee at bar, which suddenly a nice lady has approached us in French and said hello and requested a handshaking.Later we found that she was the boss and we have been welcomed in a very VIP way.Their lunch was great, although we haven't had lunch there, but having a sharp smelling ability and gastronomy habit, I bet they were serving quality... What Alma Ramires doesn't like about Le Baron Rouge:
wine bar near the food market. the place is quite user-friendly, many wines offered, good and at least good however. It is often crowded and even outside it can be difficult to find where to put your glass. View all feedback.
Almost a year ago I was in Paris and among so many gastronomic offerings we visited him rouge thanks to a recommendation that my cousin sophie made me. I must say that it was very well suited because it became my capricious corner for future Parisian visits. it has that informality and simplicity without leaving the quality of the palate aside; and all this at very good price knowing that you are in paris. the wide offer in wines accompanied by good cheese and sausages of quality served with that rustic touch and without much decorum but at last it is what a good tertulia accompanies. I'd like to have it a few blocks from my house. the attention is very kind and the environment is made for those who enjoy sharing thoughts while writing these lines I am remembering that moment!
In small white of the crussillon with a super-très good-quality charcuterie plate the bottles remain affordable
I will never go to Paris again without a visit to Le Baron Rouge. It's just a small place. Pretty crowded. The wines are only ok. But the place is magic. Guest's bring their own instrument and play a song or two. They sell wine from 4-5€ per litre. Anyone can afford a visit here. The perfect place for a long slow Sunday. Or any other day.
Located in a neighborhood outside of tourist destinations, it looks like a classic Parisian vineyard the guys at the counter immediately made you feel comfortable we only drank because we had booked the restaurant for dinner but next time I will definitely stop to taste all the aperitives from September, they always have oysters that the super barman recommended
I chose this place intrigued by the photos and opinions of previous customers. I was not only fully satisfied, but even ecstatic! I chose a mixed plate of charcuterie, cheese and terrines, with a tasting of 4 glasses of light red wines that I let choose the friendly owner. the authentic flavors of the proposals on the cutting board, the sweetness of each tasted wine, the authentic and lived atmosphere of what in italia would be considered as the real osteria in the old (this Parisian restaurant dates back to 1969), were the precious and enriching ingredients of an experience that deserves the best note; Not to mention the addition that I judged honest (36 euros for a mixed plate, which easily satisfied two people, 4 glasses of wine.) easily accessible: 300 meters from the Ledru-Rollin metro station or, if you are passing through the Bastille district, about 15 minutes walk from the metro station of the same name.
