Le Gay lussac - Paris

I downloaded this app just to review this place. The food was great but specially the customer service. We went twice during our trip and each time was very good.

This spot was very close to the Luxembourg park and a nice stop to have a hot chocolate and a cappuccino. The staff was very friendly and helped us good early in the morning.

When so many restaurants were closed in this part of town, we were lucky to take a punt on this unassuming Bistrot for lunch.Primarily locals dining and most of them ordering either Steak Tartare or Burgers. I had a rare burger, so only a little less rare than the Tartere. Wonderfully moist and flavorful. Chips a tad soggy.Also had snails. Reasonable. My wife said the pate was enjoyable however the "La Monsieur" was underwhelming. Luke warm open sandwich rather than toasted and she never could get past the fact that the title was confusing "La" being feminine and "Monsieur" being masculine. The waiter also cost them another ratings point.

Lovely place, not touristic at all but you will feel here real Paris. I was here few weeks before Christmas and bar was decorated so cute, staff are friendly. Also can recommend food (beef tartar was very delicious) and desserts. Newt time in Paris will come back for sure!

I went to this restaurant because it had a good review and I understand why. The food was good. The only thing is the waiter was absolutely unfriendly which made our experience not that great.
