A very beautiful Parisian table, the bar as the restaurant very "end of 19th century/early 20th" in their style, are absolutely charming for who appreciates this kind of scenery out of time. the foods are quite appreciable; on a 5-course menu, we have especially enjoyed from the meat dish, cheese and dessert. From the beginning, attention is paid to the visual quality of the dishes that deserve a very beautiful mention. on the other hand, perhaps slightly disappointed by a substantially overcooked dorade. As for service, it is uneven and it is on this point that the fishing restaurant, oscillating from a strong tension in the room (with the agacements of one and another, sommelier, waiter)., some errors (covered, forgotten then wine error) to a human heat at the beginning. very welcome and adapted but why not from the beginning?! In summary, the room should be held a little more and ensure that small clashes between one and the other do not penalize the time that customers are taking. Maybe we should stop the right steering wheels and go to the notebook, anyway we need to focus on better coordination.
We thought the food here was great. Well presented, interesting and just better to eat than some of the other restaurants carrying more stars. We've enjoyed 5 good meals in 5 nights in Paris so can't avoid making comparisons - and food-wise this was right up there. The restaurant (Le restaurant) is in a boutique hotel in St G des Pres (L'Hotel) and you feel almost like eating in someone's formal home dining room. Most guests are in comfortable armchairs, everything is well spaced out and private. Nice feel to it.Choice of two tasting menu or a la carte. A la carte is going to work out at the same price as the shorter tasting menu if you have 3 courses.Menu was seafood dominant.Wine list was fair. Not a bible but plenty of choice and reasonably priced. Looking around the room it seemed perfectly acceptable to enjoy the wine (that's what the armchairs are for and its a hotel after all...).Service was consistent. Not quite Swiss-watch like some restaurants at the very top of the scale but absolutely fine.We enjoyed it and would be back. Would probably consider checking out the hotel too. Enjoy ...
We went to this hotel which is a hotel at the base, a little secret. The room is quite intimate and cozy, the only reproach I can do is that the chairs are a little too comfortable to eat -;).We opted for the surprise menu of the chef in 5 dishes and we were not disappointed by any of them, the wine deal organized by the sommelier was also at the height. Excellent service, present and learned also remain discreet. After being honest is what we expect from this kind of address because the price is at the height of the kitchen and the service ;-)
Beautifully executed dishes with subtle twists on familiar flavors. Skip the degustation option and go with server recommended choices based on your palette.
