Contribute Feedback What Chloé Meunier doesn't like about L'Oiseau Blanc:
I offered my grandparents a meal with a white bird. They were disappointed by all their meals, including an intolerable mistake for a two-star restaurant: while they receive their dish (leotte and vegetables), the waiters lift the bell and surprise, no fish. Probably an error in the kitchen but the waiters came back from the kitchen with the lotte in a plate ... The least thing would have been to take the plates back... View all feedback.
The view, service and lunch was magnificent! We were the first to arrive at the restaurant and were greeted by the matre d and the waitstaff. The matre d gave us a history of the restaurant and seated us. We asked for a seat next to the window and moved with no problem. Everyone was very friendly and treated us like royalty. We were reticent about the serving sizes but the food just seemed to keep coming. Each bite was bursting with flavor. We ordered several glasses of champagne. Probably should have got bottles instead but the entire dining experience lead to complete happiness. We savored every bite and sip as we enjoyed the views in total relaxation. Take your time. We were there about 4 hours. Explore the entire restaurant as there are many historic pictures and artifacts around the restaurant. The bathroom is fashioned like an airplane from the 1950’s. Highly recommended.
This restaurant is near the metro Saint-Lazare, and not the centre of Paris. I saw this restaurant on the French film "La Fille Seule" with Virginie Ledoyen and being curious decide to try it! I ordered the duck confit and honestly was nothing special, the atmosphere was very local, which is good for me as I spoke French, but I imagine speaking English wouldn't be so fine. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable experience, but food wise, its needs an improvement.
