What Caia W doesn't like about Pedra Alta:
The staff were horrible, it seemed that they didn't care about anything. From the beginning, they were slacking, they said 6:30 but then it was more like 6:40. We stood there since 5:30, with 3 seniors. Everyone was exhausted, but we still waited. When we got in, they gave us the smallest table ever, for 9 people. We barely fit, but this was after 2 kids were on the sofa! We asked for a bigger table, but they said th... View all feedback.
Portuguese restaurants are safe for me. And pedra alta is part of these restaurants. There are meat and seafood. You really have to get to the opening if you want to have a place right now, otherwise you have to wait at least an hour to eat. The restaurant does not make a reservation. The servers are nice. The restaurant is clean. The dishes are so copious that it is easy to go home with a doggy bag. We took a dish of mussels and shrimp for 2 people. I think it was 44 euros for two. It is served with rice, fries and straw apples as well as a sea soup. It's too copyy, but it's so good. Seafood is excellent, their seafood soup recipe is also a delight. You don't know pedra alta? Go!
Seafood is fresh especially with the flow that can be. The cooked calamars as you need. Copious desserts. The mojito that is swelling. It's true that rue marboeuf the welcome and the staff has nothing to do with the kindness of that of boulogna. a small effort would be welcome but there are impatient customers (majority tourists) who challenge servers by slamming fingers.
We went there around 2:00 to avoid the tail. We were served quickly, most dishes are pre-cooked and served warm but they are copious and not bad. It is not large kitchen but it remains a good amount of money. The service remains correct for a tourist restaurant, probably because we were there after the shot.
We came to the restaurant on a Saturday noon. There was a waiter downstairs who "thought" he spoke English but apparently, he did not even understand the basic. When I asked my questions he kept interrupting me and saying "you listening you listening you listening...", making me so embarrassed in the restaurant. Here is a suggestion to the restaurant owner: if u want to do business with people from other countries, u'd better recruit someone who understand BASIC English.
You might be waiting really bcp! otherwise interesting menu, copyy dishes and interesting prices. desserts are as well as platas.
