Peniche Antipode - Paris

We had a god lunch here on the lovely boat moored at Bassin de la Villette. Modest menu of high quality. Order at the bar, sit down and admire the views and your delicious food will be delivered to you. Inexpensive.

We were spotting locations for a video-shoot near the river, and we suddenly spotted this boat-restaurant (a French typical "péniche"), and finally shot on the boat terrace. We also had a nice little lunch, featuring a delicious "potirot" homemade soup. The place offers a variety of mostly fair-trade ingredients combined in healthy ways. Everything is cool, French, vintage, indie and retro-kitsch. Recommended!

Only stopped by for a coffee but looking at the food/drinks menu certainly made me want to come back. Really laid back atmosphere and cool area. Really decent prices too!

I was out on a girly day with some friends and we kept meaning to go to the Antipode. We were staying not very far from it and we were always hearing from other hotel customers that it was very good. When we went it was a lovely blue sky day. It was a little chilly with it being February but that wasn't too much of an issue. The choice of food was great. We all went for a chicken wrap and we weren't disappointed as the size of them were impressive. I actually struggled to finish mine. The boat is nicely laid out with the choice of a smoking or non-smoking area which are set far enough apart to not have any problems with travelling smoke. It is super cute and full of charm and the food tasted amazing for the price. I believe the wraps were about €5.The location is lovely. The canal is beautiful and there is something very idealistic about sitting on a boat at lunchtime in ParisWould recommend visiting here if you are in the area

Had a lovely meal here. Soup salad and a delicious wrap for €9. Great beer too. The barge is well laid out.
