We stumbled across this place by accident after finding various other places were closed or closed down. We were convinced we were unlikely to find much round the back of Pere Lachaise cemetery and would have to jump on the metro elsewhere as we seemed to be walking away from an area of restaurants. What gonetrvlng doesn't like about Il Sorriso:
We again stayed up the hill from this hole in the wall. My wife asked that we try it again (she's the optimist) since it was getting into the evening. We went with an open mind. Same results. Nothing but pizza for us but others had pastas. We left without eating. It is obvious the management does not like Americans. Maria , All our thanks for allowing us to spend a very pleasant and unforgettable stay on the island of Maddalena. We especially enjoyed your kindness, your delicacy and all your good advice that made your island discoverable. Copious breakfasts, tasty and especially homemade cakes, gave us the strength to carry out our different hikes. An irreproachable cleanliness, a panoramic terrace, a spacious room, well arranged and tastefully decorated make this accommodation a small paradise. Simple and gourmet cuisine, prepared by the pippo chef in this intimate place for more years. Last night we took a chicken in the pot, better than that of granny and delightful truffles pippo also prepares good pizzas, and we can take the dishes to take away. one of my favorite bet addresses!
