French Creek Seafood - Parksville

We have been dining at this restaurant for 15 years and always had a great experience. However, our most recent visit was disappointing. The staff was not helpful and the selection of fresh fish was poor. It could have just been a bad day, but we left feeling disappointed this summer.

I recently purchased 2 1/2 pounds of sockeye salmon from this restaurant. When we prepared it for dinner later that evening, we discovered worms in all of it. I returned it the next day and received a grudging refund from the woman at the counter, who also informed me that all fish and meat can have worms. Disappointing customer service overall.

I went to this restaurant intending to purchase fresh salmon, but, unfortunately, the two whole sockeye salmon I received had crushed and damaged meat. I returned them and exchanged them, but the replacement turned out to be just as bad. It was ruined when I cooked it for a family barbecue. When I called the restaurant to request a refund, they were very rude and unprofessional. I would caution others to avoid purchasing fresh seafood from them in the future. While frozen seafood might be acceptable, I will not be shopping there again.

Nice little load, we went a little later on the day and a few items were sold out. we got a lachsburger, a halibut burger, smoked salmon and some dosen smoked thunfischs and salmon. the lachsburger was delicious. when they visit this place, they observe the signs as they show them to the right place. the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Great Seafood store. Big selection of local Seafood (fresh, frozen and live). Staff are helpful.
