What Kailyn Hintz doesn't like about Tokyo Japanese Restaurant:
Early one evening we had takeaway sushi and tempura prawns from Tokyo. They were not busy, this particular night. We waited at the counter for our order, and watched the chef make our sushi. Overall, not the best, freshest fish and the tempura was heavy and fairly greesy. Maybe this wasn't there best effort...since they are usually fairly busy. Not sure if we will try them again since we've had better elsewhere. View all feedback.
I begin to appreciate the simple things in life. for example, ugg boots, from kmart comes with a lifetime of warm feet and social isolation they should get away from their residence. much can be achieved and great happiness will unfold from such simple joys in all facets of life. simple service for example does not cost a dime, they can only push a price on service that is the limit of what is common in the service industry. simple service is the comfort of the customer who welcomes, the timing, the accommodation for their guests during their short and potentially final visit. food prices are reasonable, but not the quality of the ingredients. We are here several times. in general the sushi/sashimi is excellent. fresh and beautiful served and this is a byo. If you want to sit a few meters from the river promenade, you can sit in the covered veranda of this restaurant. else sits only for a regular hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. good prompt service, but not especially warm. other net, however, is a completely different thing! they have no idea how the BBQ cow tastes. on an occassion we also ordered fried chicken as entree and bbq bark in the net. the huh was good, but came served after the net! there is a bit of a communication barrier, and so we have to explain a few...read more
Was turned off on Sunday night on the door when all the signs open for restaurant had still customers and would recommend that they were correct advertising
I've been here for half a dozen times and I'll go back. especially for fresh, juicy sashimi. that is best comfort food. if they drink, then byo is a good option to keep the price a little. I agree with some of the other reviews here, the personal can be aloof, but I'm socially awkward anyway, so I don't care. I'm just glad there's a place in the west that serves decent sashimi.
Great for sashimi!. I have been here several times for sashimi and it really is good for price, quantity and quality. The sashimi was so good it just melted in my mouth which is a rare experience these days. Have brought others here for sashimi boats, and am a repeat customer.
