Nice lunch. I had the tempura lunch set for $15, which was decent value. Included rice, miso soup, fruit dessert and tempura was generous, with two prawns, two pieces of fish and one piece each of carrot, pumpkin and zucchini. All tasted great, tempura dipping sauce was especially good. Woman in charge of front of house seems to resent customers and has a million better things and people on her mind the typical Perth... What Simeon Goyette doesn't like about Yoshiya Japanese Restaurant:
A
true let down. I feel I definitely did not get our money's worth here. I had a incredibly unwelcoming experience here, with the manager being extremely rude toward me and my girlfriend. I think the food was pretty average and nothing spectacular. Definitely will not be returning! View all feedback.
When we first arrived just before 12 on a Tuesday, the restaurant was empty. We were promptly seated by the lady owner whom I found a little intimidating at first but it could very well be because there wasn 't any other patrons and I felt like she was watching us like a hawk the whole time. However, in the next 45mins or so while we were there, the place got reasonably busy, and it was quite visible<br/ that most of them were returning (quite mature) regulars.<br/ <br/ 'Oh, WOW. ' was all that managed to escape my mouth after I had my first bite of the beef yakiniku. The dish arrived with thickly cut slices of beef fillet that have been cooked to perfection. Charred on the outside and medium rare on the inside, glistening in daylight from the flavourful marinade. <br/ <br/ I think the obviously old and bare interior only adds to the whole atmosphere. It really felt like I could 've very well been inside a restaurant somewhere in a small Japanese town. <br/ <br/ Needless to say, I was back by the following week. I guess Yoshiya has just scored themselves a couple of new regulars!
Some of the most delicious japanese food i have ever eaten and 5 star service.
We have been eating here for years. No it's not flash . It's not in the fashoinable location. But as a person who would eat Japanese at least once a week this is a serious example of more classic style. Probably the best sashimi in Perth.
A bit pricy, but nice and well-cooked traditional japanese cuisine. Maybe ask for whats included (salad/rice/veggies) as we had some trouble with this. Green tea ice cream as a dessert is a must!!
Perfect Japanese food! The food here is great, the service is also good. I have visited the place many times with different people and they all agree that it is an excellent place.
