Late business lunch for two, convenient location, basic decor but solid fare. Both ordered Pad Thai, serving was plentiful and spices were nicely done, not bland like some other restaurants. Pricing was average, service friendly. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Village Of Thai:
$15.95 for a plate of fried onions, rice and 5 over-cooked prawns: $12.95 for a curry with a heavy dose of onions, over-cooked, dry chicken and no discernible mango as the menu indicated was part of the dish.
Ordered the pineapple fried rice and chicken pad thai off the uber eats app. food did not come as described, missing ingredients and definitely NOT authentic. Seems they use whatever they have at hand. The only thing that could’ve possibly saved the meal was hot sauce which they did not pack! Instead it came with some type of watered down soya sauce and what seemed to taste like a red wine vinegar/fish sauce. Waste of money!
The food at this restaurant was just okay, not great. The Phad Thai didn't taste like traditional Phad Thai and the portions were big but expensive. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but the inside was uncomfortably hot, even hotter than outside. The decor was old and unattractive, seating was uncomfortable, and there was a strange smell inside. I definitely wouldn't go back or recommend it to anyone. There are vegetarian options available, but parking is difficult to find nearby and the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. They do accommodate gluten-free and dairy-free dietary restrictions.
All the food was excellent. Especially enjoyed the sauteed beef which was lightly charred to perfection. Portions were good, I forgot to take pictures before reading some of it ?
The customer service at Village of Thai is not the best. The owner, an average Indian man, appears strict and not very friendly. However, he takes pride in his establishment. Despite this, the food at Village of Thai was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Singaporean noodles, which I would rate 9 out of 10. Even though the customer service may be lacking, the delicious food makes up for it. That's all I have to say.
I regret to say that the Pad Thai at this restaurant was disappointing. It lacked color, flavor, and sauce. I paid $24.00 for this dish along with 2 spring rolls, but I couldn't even eat the Pad Thai. The staff mentioned that no one had ever complained before, but their last three reviews were all one star.
