Contribute FeedbackJack's Firehouse has received quite the mix of reviews, with some guests expressing disappointment in the slow service and subpar food quality. Complaints included long wait times for drinks and meals, undercooked beans, and lackluster mac and cheese. Some found the additional taxes and mandatory gratuity to be excessive. However, amidst these criticisms, there were shining reviews highlighting the delicious dishes, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere. Guests raved about the calamari, steaks, and crab cakes, as well as the exceptional service provided by servers such as Zach and Andrew. The outdoor dining experience was praised for being safe and enjoyable, with complimentary cornbread and cookies adding a special touch to the meal. Overall, while there were some issues reported by diners, Jack's Firehouse seems to have redeeming qualities that make it worth a visit for those seeking a cozy atmosphere and delicious southern-style cuisine.
After visiting the Eastern State Penitentiary across the street we were trying to find a late lunch (About 3:40ish) and it seemed like everywhere we stopped
We saw a show at World Café Live in June 2017 and went to Jack's for dinner afterwards.
Jack's has a great feel to itThey're more unique than your average American restaurant.
Dont be fooled be a decent atmosphere. Waiter never checked back we had to get up and find him to get our check. He never brought back any to-go containers so we could take our extremely mediocre and way to smokey food to our hotel.
Such a cute and relaxing place. The complimentary corn muffin is scrumptious! Chicken and waffles, by far the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Service is very friendly. We will come back when we’re back in Philly next time!
