What User doesn't like about Portage Yacht Club:
Today I treated myself from the yacht club driving said fish fry, so I moved into ordered for a fish fry, ordered Mac cheese and Coleslaw my two choices, Coleslaw was soggy and tasted like vinegar, French fries were soggy and cold, asking for sautéed fish got deep fritted soggy and cold for $20 I ended the meal never throw away again. The food is delicious. Why are there plastic chairs though?
I absolutely adore this restaurant! Everything about it is fantastic. The food is delicious, the staff is welcoming, and the ambiance gives off a cozy northern vibe. I would rate it a perfect 10 out of 10!
Owner is rude, kitchen staff led by children. Don't waste your time and money. In price everything and becomes nickel and dime any chance they get.
We were told that the food could take a while to get out with which we were completely okay. But the server we had was slow. We have our appetizers before they even gave us water. Normally this would be impressive, but he completely forgot us and took over 40 minutes to bring our drinks and water. Our server was very forgotten how we asked 3 times for refills. I never received them. In the meantime, we were able to get our server inside the bussing its other tables and tend to them all the time. We asked for additional sauce to go with the shrimp that never came. It took 20 minutes to return the boxes and bills. The food was good. I loved the Bruschetta appetizer. $5 is a lot and it was quality for what you have. The Mac and the cheese were great as the turkey club. The portion sizes were good. The entries came with a soup salad or bread. Overall, it would have been a great experience, but I think that waiting 40 minutes for a water was ridiculous.
