I really enjoy their babaganoush and always order it to go when I can. I had a meal there once with my boyfriend, and we sat outside on a lovely day. We both really enjoyed the experience. View all feedback.
What Lana L doesn't like about Daphanie Cafe:
Service here is not great. Our server did not smile and spoke to us dispassionately. We ordered the lamb rack (comes with salad and rice) and kofte (comes with fries and rice). The lamb was cooked and seasoned well. The kofte was also good but came in tomato sauce, which in my experience is unusual and which I had missed on the menu. This is feels like a home restaurant. When I come in I feel like to be in the countryside. I feel comfortable because it 's a simple and cozy place to dine out. The menu is excellent for those who like lamb. We 're not a lamb fan but we do like the beef kafta which has improved since the last time we 've been in there. It comes with two options of side and normally we get a salad and pilaf. It 's a simple and casual cuisine but it 's delicious.
I've gone to this place about 4 times and decided to do a review. This place is good, not the best but good considering what's around the area price-wise and food-wise. First, the marinated chicken and lamb options are significantly better than the falafel. I really did not like the falafel. Take a walk 2 blocks over to Turkish kebab house if you want fantastic falafel. This place has more options for salads than TKH, which is why i would go here. The salads are tasty, and the Greek dressing seems homemade. Also It is BYOB and has a fun patio to have a blast in the summer. The Turkish coffee is really excellent here, and highly recommend.

If you are in the minority and don't like tomato sauce (like me), it is easy to just use a knife and remove the sauce from the kofte. That's what I did and I was able to enjoy the kofte more. Daphne Cafe is a nice, quiet Mediterranean place for those who want to dine at a low-key restaurant. Taste 3.5 Atmosphere 3 Presentation 3 Service 2 OVERALL 3
This restaurant in Pittsburgh is definitely one of my favorites. I highly recommend trying the Turkish coffee, Eggplant, Döner Gyro Kebab, and Künefe. Enjoy!
I have visited this restaurant multiple times and I have never been particularly impressed. I was disappointed with my most recent visit as well. It took longer than expected to be greeted or served after being seated. The waitress only asked if I was ready to order and did not seem very friendly. Despite sitting outside on the deck under umbrellas, the temperature was comfortable. I tried the Adana wrap, which was okay but nothing extraordinary. The use of a tortilla instead of traditional bread took away from the flavor and authenticity. With so many great Turkish restaurants in Pittsburgh, I do not think it is worth it to visit this place for a mediocre experience.
